Product terms

Last updated: June 18, 2026

This page describes how each Macbach service actually works, in plain language, so there is no daylight between what we sell and what you sign. It forms part of the Macbach Customer Terms of Service and is incorporated by reference. Where a service applies to your engagement, its terms apply to your use. Your Statement of Work is the controlling document; this page is the default shape.

Site (website)

Site is a one-time build. We design and build a practice website on the Macbach stack: information architecture, page templates, content migration, schema, performance tuning, analytics instrumentation, and the third-party integrations (scheduling, CRM, portals) listed in your Statement of Work. After launch, ongoing growth runs through Engine, and the site itself is kept current by the optional maintenance plan below.

Engine (search engine optimization)

Engine is the organic search engine: technical SEO, on-page work, content produced on the cadence set in your Statement of Work, internal linking, and reporting. We commit to the methodology and the effort. We do not commit to a ranking position or a traffic number, because those move with Google’s algorithm, your local competition, and seasonality, none of which we control.

Ground (local listings)

Ground runs your local presence: Google Business Profile management, citation consistency across directories, the review-response workflow, and the review-velocity cadence. You keep ownership of your Google Business Profile at all times. We need access to manage it, not to hold it.

Lift (paid media)

Lift manages paid search and paid social: campaign architecture, HIPAA-aware audience construction, server-side conversion tracking, and ongoing optimization. The ad spend is your media budget, passed through at cost and never marked up; our invoice is the management fee only. At the end of an engagement we pause campaigns, we do not delete them, and the campaign history stays with your ad account.

Source (answer-engine optimization)

Source is the work of making a practice citable by AI search surfaces: entity and schema structure, answer-first content, and the authority signals the AI engines retrieve. As with organic search, whether any AI surface cites you depends on factors outside our control. It is earned, not guaranteed.

Maintenance

The optional maintenance plan keeps a Site-built website durable: platform updates, dependency and security patching, uptime monitoring, backups, and routine content edits within the monthly allowance set in your Statement of Work. Anything beyond the allowance is a documented change order, agreed before we do it.

Architect (fractional CMO)

Architect is the strategic seat across the product lines: a Strategic Command Plan, quarterly business reviews, and senior oversight of the whole program. It runs twelve months, because the compounding it is built to produce takes that long to show.

CRM and client portal

The Macbach CRM and client portal are a managed service we run for the life of the engagement. Your own data, your leads, contacts, and records, is yours; we export it to you on request and on exit. The CRM application itself is licensed for the term, not a product you keep operating on your own afterward. We are precise about that line rather than pretend there is no switching cost.

Commitment terms

Terms differ by product. Your Statement of Work controls:

  • Lift is month-to-month, billed monthly, and may be stopped with thirty days’ notice. The current month’s management fee is not prorated.
  • Ground and Engine run on a twelve-month term.
  • Site is a one-time build; the optional maintenance plan that follows is billed monthly.
  • Architect runs on a twelve-month term.

Scope and change control

The Statement of Work is the controlling document for your engagement. This page is the default shape of each service. Where the two conflict, the Statement of Work wins for that engagement.
